SCANDAL ice creams, by EVGA, are one of the most popular brand names in their category. However, in response to the launch of new flavors, as well as modifications in package sizes, the basic SCANDAL range had to renew consumer interest. Additionally, the elements of this series had to meet those of the SCANDAL 2SPOONS series, which were launched a year earlier and were met with great success. Finally, the ice cream product shots had to be maintained, with the exception of the shots of new flavors, while also maintaining each flavor’s color codes.
The renewal of such a popular series of ice creams, that continues to enjoy consumers’ preference, had to be done with few yet dynamic moves. Bold typography – that stood out in the SCANDAL 2SPOONS series – was one of them. The SCANDAL logo took on cinematic dimensions, over the shots of rich scoops. The SCANDAL cone packaging changed more drastically. Here the typography defined both the “dressed” and “naked” side of the product, unique for being the only chocolate-coated cone in the market.
